The MISS LEONA, a 77′ fishing vessel, suffered a separated tail shaft early March 24th, and was in need of a tow to Dutch Harbor. Upon notice, the MAKUSHIN BAY immediately departed the Resolve-Magone Facility, arriving at the vessel’s position later that day. The MISS LEONA was secured to the processing vessel GORDON JENSON in Dutch Harbor and began offloading 30,000lbs of cod. Once the offload was complete, the MAKUSHIN BAY towed the MISS LEONA to the Resolve-Magone facility.
