Seafarers’ House, which began in 1989 amid rapid maritime industrial growth in South Florida, brought a rich, 185-year-old tradition of seafaring support to Florida. Serving over 150,000 crew visits each year, more than any other agency in North America, Seafarers’ House proudly does their part to improve these individuals’ quality of life and serve their needs. The Golden Compass, given each year to those who have achieved distinction in the maritime world, is a prestigious award in the industry and Joe was honored to be recognized by such a well respected organization.
