The Resolve Pioneer, our sea going tug based in Dutch Harbor, arrived on scene Saturday and set up tow with the motor vessel BBC Colorado under the observation of USCG Cutter Morgenthau. Here’s the story as reported by the USCG news.  This response, like most of our responses in this region, was extremely time sensitive, as the master of BBC Colorado reported a severe engine casualty, restricting their speed and maneuverability with forecasted seas of 30-feet and winds in excess of 50 knots closing in on the its location.
